Recommnd - my little side project.

It’s crazy how many Recommnd-like ideas are cropping up all over the web. I’m still working away to launch this thing (that I’ve been working on for over a year), but I figured it was time I actually released a screenshot.

The whole idea of crowd sourcing ideas for a product or question that you have was something I dreamt up back in early 2007 when I was looking for something to do on my spare time. Well, through switching jobs, moving cross country, getting engaged, and starting a new life on the East Coast, this idea of mine still managed to stick on my To-Do list.

Surprisingly, it looks like it’s not just on my To-Do list as I’m starting to find a ton of startups coming out with the same idea… IdeaScale and HiveLogic just to name two.

I think this is really exciting. Clearly, we’re all on to something.

As I continue to try to balance my life between a rigorous “day job” and working on my side project, I’ve constantly been finding myself struggling to knock off the things on my to-do list for Recommnd’s “Things I have to do before I launch” list.
